IT Date extension by 2 weeks makes sense

I believe the LC survey which is being carried by majority of the media today is being very fair in asking for 2 week extension on income tax deadline.

Personally i dont delay my taxes but people in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Telangana, Maharashtra and many other states have had a challenging july and even today many have to visit their CA to file taxes. Its not all online like its for employed. In many parts of India, power outages have been happening because of floods.

A two week extension wont break or make anything and only the Govt would come across as empathetic. more

If we talk of Mumbai, in July month due to very heavy rains some could not reach to their C.As as there was traffic jam in many areas hence the need to extend the due date by two weeks to file the returns. more
Inefficiency of some banks including PSU is also responsible for the tax payers to seek extension of time for RTI filling. more
I think those who are saying dont extend are sitting in their ac chambers or homes with no idea of ground reality. Go visit someone who is living with power outage with water in their homes in gujarat or Maharashtra more
why we dont do work in time and expect extension more
Extension of Deadline for filing ITR makes no sense at all. Enough time was available to all tax payers. more
