How Haryana doing better than Punjab on pollution

25% less farm fires in Haryana because of extra incentives than Punjab

Rs 1,000/acre
Rs 50/quintal for making bales
50%~80% subsidy on machines
Upto 10 lakhs to Panchayats
In Karnal Panipat, if farmers takes straw to ethanol plant, he gets Rs 2000/acre, for gaushalas, Rs 1500

In Haryana, 24 types of industries have agreed to buy stubble, under which command areas will be opened in every district & stubble procured. Haryana has created a new portal for this, on which info on industries who buy stubble are available, for farmers to contact them directly.

When there are good policies application of reasonable minds solutions emerge. When the only objective is to blame others and do nothing, nothing will emerge Mr. Delhi and Mr. Punjab more

Nobody talks about the alternative - manual harvesting that is capital saving and employment generating. The government can partly pay for the labour. No stubble will be left to necessitate burning. Before the advent of combined harvesters this was the way crops were harvested. Moreover, any mechanisation burns fuel too, for running. Convenience comes at a cost. Harvesting machines should be allowed, when farmers follow Haryana's example, so that an entire economic ecosystem be created around the resulting stubble. Corporate India manufacturing agricultural machines, can manage such an ecosystem, scoping out the deliverables. ITC already runs crop residue management system in Punjab. more
Kejriwal Govts, both in Punjab and Delhi are least bothered about National Issues. They are fully involved in Revdi Culture and will Destroy these States. Voters must not be lured by short term benefits. more
Vote bank politics, corruption and bad governance is the root causes more
Good initiative by Haryana Govt. Wish other State govt. follow instead of playing politics. more
this should be a role model for other states to take it up and it is not a big think and I think more than that awareness need to be built with the farmers by giving wide publicity and media coverage so that farmers can use it to their advantage more
