Air Quality and Pollution In India

The annual government rating exercise is asking if pollution and air quality improvements were worked upon and improved in last 1 year.

I urge all members to give their honest rating. Please vote and share the link. Unless we all play active role not much will change.

Our problem is that we expect everything to be done by the government without any contribution and participation of common man. We are not even prepared to keep our sorrounding clean and plant and maintain at least one tree every year but we expect to have zero pollution and clean air to be arranged by the government. more
No, pollution and air quality improvements were not worked upon and not improved in last 1 year. The stable burning by the farmers are the main reason for the same. more
What concrete steps the author has taken to tackle the problem of air or water pollution. Mere academic exercise sitting before TV in the drawing room and floating queries without any ground results. Dare to shoulder the self responsibility. I spend 3 k to 4 k to maintain the greenery and plantation in the park near my house because it gives pure and fresh air for breathing to about 300 residents residing around the park. Impact: None was affected by COVID 19. Do something for your own community and then float such FREE survey. Yesterday, a doctor was saying to an anchor of TV: you people cannot manage your house and ask questions about Govt. India has largest Covid patients and no Govt in the world has handled better, the doctor said. Anchor felt ashamed and became mum. Hence think before asking. more
Farmers refusing the legislation on stubble burning was indeed sad and selfish of them more
Some steps have been taken but not followed through to achieve the desired results. Modi Government has to take more initiative and show more involvement. For example the subjects like Crop burning / fire crackers/ etc have to be monitored by the Centre strictly instead of playing blame games with States. more
