Tata Sky is asking to return my setup box for which i have paid

Recently I contacted Tata Sky to upgrade my regular setup box to HD setup box. The associate at Tata Sky told me that it will cost around Rs.1000 to upgrade it. So I said okay do it but then he said I have to return my regular setup box. I said I cant do that as I have paid for it and now it's my property. So he said then he can't sell me he Hd setup box and can't upgrade to HD . They need to understand once you sell something it doesn't belong to them. I am requesting Indian government to take necessary steps against this foreign national company so that they stop making people fool.
