Delhi Police

Police always take an account only after a mishap. It is not prepared to act in advance to check the miscreants.

Delhi Police looks lazy specially traffic police. I saw many times breaking the laws on roads but present police personnel do not act by themselves. I request Delhi Police to be strict on Traffic violators specially at traffic signals and zebra crossing laws.

Completely uninterested in true justice or correct policing : only out to see how they can make a fast buck while doing the least work.

I try to keep as far away from them and to not involve them.

If upper middle class & empowered people like us feel this way about them one shudders to think how unempowered people must feel vis a vis the police whose job it is to protect & help them.

A policy of only hiring persons who do not belong to the state ( in case of Delhi the whole NCR region) will result in less aggressive and belligerent police : In Delhi they are all local Jats & toughs and the city is more their fiefdom than the tax paying citizens ( at least the way the behave ).
It is pretty similar a situation in Mumbai where most of the " pandus" ( as they are derogatorily called) all seem to be local Marathi toughs. Hardly ever see a South Indian or East Indian policemen in either place !!
